Step into and artist’s studio and you’ll find all kinds of interesting things!
What’s on my walls? A mix of unfinished works and blank panels waiting for future inspiration are hanging there, having conversations with me about what they need. My mind perceives my studio as a noisy place, as each piece seems to have an opinion of its own.
This one is tired of being grayscale, and I should just put some color on it already! That one says it’s almost done. Only a bit more work, it begs, and it will stop nagging. A blank panel announces that it would be perfect for one of the ideas I’ve been working on. That one says not to touch it, except for a signature.
These talks go on until my signature is in the corner of the work. Then it’s time for them to find new homes so they can speak to their new owners, and tell them the stories I’ve hidden in the paint. The blank spaces on the wall will get filled with more chatty panels and canvases.
